Actor Andy Senor has performed in touring productions of "Rent" for the past decade. Based on his latest assignment, perhaps he should have been cast in "Cats."
Senor was chosen from nearly 3,000 applicants to serve in the one-year position as "cat correspondent" for Purina Cat Chow. St. Louis-based Nestle Purina PetCare announced the selection on Wednesday, following a nationwide search launched in February.
The Miami native now living in New York will travel to cat-related events, interview owners and create videos and blogs posted on catchow.com and social media sites. He will also continue working as an actor and assistant director for the upcoming off-Broadway revival of "Rent."
