Neighbors say two adults and their preteen son died in a New York City house fire that left two younger children with minor injuries.
The Fire Department of New York identified the victims of Monday morning's blaze as a 36-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and a 12-year-old boy.
More than 100 firefighters responded to the blaze. Officials say four of them suffered minor injuries at the two-family home in the Tremont section of the Bronx.
A fire chief at the scene told WCBS radio that firefighters encountered heavy flames shooting out of the building's front door.
The fire department says the blaze started on the second floor around 3:30 a.m. It was brought under control about an hour later.
