Authorities say a man who beat charges he threatened his ex-girlfriend immediately attacked the woman outside a central Pennsylvania courthouse.
Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico says the victim had testified against 20-year-old James Allen White shortly before he attacked her Thursday.
Marsico tells WHTM-TV that White had just been acquitted of making threats against the woman before the attack. He now faces charges of retaliation against a witness or victim, simple assault and resisting arrest.
Court documents say White was released on $25,000 bail. A phone listing for him could not immediately be located.
Marsico says law enforcement officials sometimes escort witnesses and victims from the building, but no problems had been anticipated in this case.
