Obama to approve free-trade pact with Colombia

President Barack Obama will meet with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos in the Oval Office on Thursday.

The two leaders will initial a free-trade pact that the White House says is a vital part of Obama's economic agenda.

The administration estimates the pact will boost U.S. exports to Colombia by more than $1 billion a year and could support thousands of American jobs.

The deal has bipartisan support in Congress, which must approve the agreement before it can be implemented.
