September 11 mastermind to be tried in military court: report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - September 11 attacks mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be tried by a military commission in Guantanamo instead of in a U.S. civilian court, CBS News reported on Monday.

President Barack Obama on March 7 lifted a two-year freeze on new military trials at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, saying the U.S. Congress was hurting national security by blocking his attempts to move some trials into U.S. civilian courts.
