A dog that chased a raccoon into a Kentucky cave has been rescued after 10 days underground.
Owner Roger Moore was hunting in central Kentucky when he let the coon hound named Half Pint run. She plunged into the cave and didn't come back out.
Moore told WBKO-TV in Bowling Green that he stayed at the cave entrance for several hours but the dog didn't return.
He finally contacted Metcalfe County Emergency Management officials, who needed time to find someone with the time and skills to search the cave.
Two rescuers went in Wednesday morning and emerged a half-hour later with the brown and white dog.
Moore said the dog had lost some weight but looks real good and has been put on a special diet by a veterinarian.
