First lady Michelle Obama to speak at DC school

First lady Michelle Obama will visit a District of Columbia high school as part of a mentoring initiative in honor of Women's History Month.

Mrs. Obama is scheduled to speak Wednesday afternoon to students at Ballou High School about pursuing career goals and achieving their potential.

Guest mentors will visit several other area schools to give similar talks. The speakers include actresses Geena Davis, Hilary Swank, Kerry Washington and Alfre Woodard; figure skater Michelle Kwan; Nancy Brinker, founder and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and a former U.S. ambassador to Hungary; and other prominent female artists, athletes and executives.
