First lady Michelle Obama urged high school students to think about their career goals and the job market before deciding what kind of education to pursue.
Mrs. Obama spoke Wednesday afternoon at Ballou High School as part of a mentoring initiative in honor of Women's History Month. Responding to a question from a student about what she would tell a teen mom who wants to go to college Mrs. Obama said she would tell the teenager "good for you." But she also told students they should have a plan and think about what they want to get out of college because it is so expensive.
Mrs. Obama said when she went to school she took on a lot of debt but also knew she could get a job.
