Obama to NYC to raise money, speak to networks

President Barack Obama is turning to network news for interviews on Libya a day after delivering a speech defending the U.S. intervention.

Obama will be in New York on Tuesday when he sits down with the evening news anchors for NBC, CBS and ABC for segments that will allow him to restate his case for millions of viewers.

Obama is expected to reference Libya at the dedication of a building for the U.S. delegation to the United Nations. It's being named after one-time Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who died in a plane crash in 1996.

Obama speaks Tuesday night at two Democratic National Committee events in Harlem. A fundraiser at the Red Rooster restaurant is expected to raise $1.5 million, and Obama will thank supporters at the Studio Museum.
