A Louisiana man convicted of killing a store clerk in 2005 told jurors at his sentencing that he wanted to kill them.
On Friday, that jury sentenced 28-year-old Isaiah Doyle to death by lethal injection. He took the stand against the advice of his attorneys, who had argued he was mentally disabled and should not be sentenced to death.
He told jurors that if he had an AK-47 assault rifle, he'd kill "every last one with no remorse." He said he shot store clerk Hwa Lee four times and would have continued shooting her if his gun had not jammed.
