Officials say a Los Angeles-bound airliner made an emergency landing at Salt Lake City International Airport after its crew reported the smell of smoke on the plane.
Delta spokeswoman Gina Laughlin says Flight 2621 returned to the airport after the crew reported the odor in the plane's rear galley. She says it landed without incident or injuries at the airport, where maintenance crews are checking the plane.
Laughlin says its 147 passengers have been placed on another flight.
The emergency landing was first reported by KTVX-TV in Salt Lake City.
