A jury has been seated for the murder trial of a former gang member charged with shooting into a crowd leaving a Buffalo, N.Y., restaurant, killing four people and wounding four others.
Prosecution and defense attorneys chose the final three jurors on Thursday, the third day of jury selection in Erie County Court.
The 12-person jury will decide the fate of 24-year-old Riccardo McCray. The Buffalo man is charged with first- and second-degree murder, attempted murder and weapons possession in connection with the Aug. 16 shooting outside the City Grill.
McCray says he was at the restaurant but isn't the shooter.
With relatives and friends of the eight victims and the suspect expected to attend at least part of the trial, court officials say security will be extra tight.
Opening statements are set for Friday.
