In a March 2 story about the arrest of a fugitive reported missing off the coast of San Diego, The Associated Press reported that the Coast Guard called off its search Sunday after investigators discovered James Repetto was wanted by federal authorities. The story should have said that the Coast Guard suspended its nearly 20-hour search, pending more information. Coast Guard officials say they suspended efforts after failing to find anyone but their decision had nothing to do with the discovery by police of Repetto's warrant.
