A fourth child has died following a fire at a home day care center in Houston.
A spokeswoman for Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital said a child who had been in critical condition since Thursday's fire died Saturday. Details weren't released.
Texas investigators are looking into whether seven preschoolers may have been left alone in the home before the fire broke out. No problems had been reported since the day care was licensed.
Witnesses who lived nearby reported seeing the day care's operator, 22-year-old Jessica Tata, arrive at her one-story home in a minivan Thursday and then run out, screaming for help.
Spokeswoman Jennifer Hart says another child treated at Children's Memorial had been released. Shriners Hospital for Children says two children being treated there are in stable condition.
