A Cuban medical examiner is set to testify in the perjury trial of an ex-CIA agent accused of lying during 2005 U.S. immigration hearings.
Ileana Vizcaino Dime traveled to El Paso, Texas, to testify in the case against 83-year-old Luis Posada Carriles.
She will discuss the autopsy of an Italian tourist killed in 1997, when a bomb exploded at his Havana hotel. It was one of a series of attacks on Cuban tourist sites.
Posada is not on trial for the bombings, only for lying about planning them. He faces perjury, obstruction and immigration fraud charges. He's accused of lying under oath after sneaking into the U.S. and seeking citizenship.
Vizcaino is the second Cuban official to testify, following an investigator from a Cuban task force on the bombings.
