Court documents say a Wisconsin woman killed and robbed of quarters she planned to give to the needy apparently snapped a photograph of the man accused of the crime.
Prosecutors on Monday charged Wilbert Leonard Thomas of Racine with charges of first-degree intentional homicide, theft from a person or corpse and felony bail jumping.
The 65-year-old Thomas is accused in the death of Sandra Teichow. The 67-year-old Lake Geneva woman's body was found last Thursday in a wooded area in Racine. She had been strangled and beaten.
The criminal complaint says a digital camera found near her body contained photos, including one of a man with a cane walking away. Police say the man in the shot is Thomas and that they found a cane like the one in the photo in his house.
