Montana man sentenced to 15 years for DUI fatals

A 29-year-old Montana man who pleaded guilty to driving drunk and running into a group of girls walking along a highway, killing two of them, has been given a sentence that could allow him to be eligible for parole in as little as four years.

David J. DelSignore was sentenced Friday by District Judge John Larson, who suspended 15 years and five months of a 30-year sentence.

DelSignore pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence for the deaths of two Hellgate High freshmen _ 14-year-old Ashlee Patenaude and 15-year-old Taylor Cearley. He also pleaded guilty to two negligent vehicular assault charges for injuries suffered by Teal Packard and Hailey Rumpel.

The Missoulian reports DelSignore could be eligible for parole in as little as four years.
