Salt Lake County authorities say two sheriff's deputies suffered scratches while being dragged up to 75 yards by a vehicle that left a traffic stop.
The sheriff's office says two deputies approached a suspicious vehicle early Monday, one on each side.
The Deseret News reported on its Web site Monday that the driver refused to get out of the vehicle when asked, and as the deputies tried to get his keys, the man took his foot off the brake.
The two law enforcement officers hung onto the vehicle's open doors and were dragged while the car moved at about 15 mph, and eventually jumped off.
Authorities started a vehicle chase but called it off because of the weather. The driver was arrested later.
