President Barack Obama says the United States' strategy for Afghanistan must include a policy for its neighbor Pakistan.
Speaking to Army cadets at West Point, Obama outlined an escalated approach to Afghanistan that includes 30,000 new U.S. forces. He also said the United States must pay attention the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.
Obama says the same "cancer" of terror that hampered Afghanistan has taken root along the border with Pakistan. The president says Pakistan and the United States have a common enemy in extremism.
