Records show the 19-year-old driver who plowed his car into a minivan, killing a family of four, had his license suspended for a year for drunken driving in 2007.

The Department of Motor Vehicles says Steven Culbertson of Lakeport also was involved in a crash in June 2007. Details of the crash are not available because Culbertson was a juvenile.

The records show he had his license suspended about a month later for drunken driving in a separate incident.

Culbertson died Sunday, a day after authorities say his Mini Cooper ran a red light in Sonoma County while going 70 mph to 90 mph and hit the minivan.

Authorities say there were no signs of drugs or alcohol at the scene. Toxicology tests are under way.
