Los Angeles police have released a composite sketch of a man believed to have killed at least 11 people since 1985.
The sketch released Tuesday was originally compiled in 1988 after a woman who survived a brutal assault gave a description of a man in his 30s.
Police hope to use age-enhancement techniques to bring the sketch up to date.
Police believe the man struck at least 11 times between 1985 and 2007, killing 10 women and a man. He was dubbed the "Grim Sleeper" because he apparently took a 14-year hiatus from his crimes.
All the killings were connected using DNA or ballistic evidence.
