Salesforce quarterly revenue jumps 25 percent

(Reuters) - Salesforce.com Inc <CRM.N> reported a 25 percent jump in quarterly revenue, helped by strong demand for its cloud-based sales and marketing software.

The company's net income was $51.4 million, or 7 cents per share, in the third quarter ended Oct. 31, compared with a loss of $37.3 million, or 5 cents per share, a year earlier.

Revenue rose to $2.68 billion from $2.14 billion.
