Hacker pleads guilty over AT&T-iPad breach

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A computer hacker pleaded guilty on Thursday of helping write a malicious code that hacked into AT&T Inc's servers and took information about Apple Inc's iPad subscribers, U.S. prosecutors said.

Daniel Spitler, 26, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to gain unauthorized access to computers and one count of identity theft. Each count carries a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
