The Chicago Tribune has launched an expanded print edition of its newspaper with more local, investigative and other coverage.
The newspaper said Wednesday that it will now publish 40 to 44 additional pages each week. This includes 12 more business pages each week and 10 more national and world news pages a week.
The company wouldn't say how many pages it now publishes, saying it varies each week.
Along with the print changes, the newspaper says it has also redesigned its website to highlight breaking news. Tribune says it is adding some newsroom positions as a result. It is not saying how many.
Its parent company, Tribune Co., is trying to emerge from bankruptcy protection.
