Senate Republican leader says Alabama nominee Moore should 'step aside'

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell on Monday called on Alabama Republican Senate nominee Roy Moore to "step aside," saying he believed the woman who accused Moore of inappropriate sexual contact, the Associated Press reported.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday on allegations that Moore initiated sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl when he was in his 30s.
