GUATEMALA CITY (Reuters) - Former Guatemalan Vice President Roxana Baldetti and an ex-minister Mauricio Lopez Bonilla have been indicted on drug trafficking charges, the U.S. embassy in Guatemala said on Friday.

Baldetti and Lopez, who were tied to a corruption scandal in Guatemala, are facing charges in a Washington D.C. court for conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine in the United States, the embassy said in a statement.
