MANILA (Reuters) - The Philippines has canceled the environmental permits of six more companies, including four miners, Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Regina Lopez said on Wednesday.

The world's top supplier of nickel ore is reviewing hundreds of environmental compliance certificates (ECCs) and among the latest to be canceled are those for one nickel producer, as well as one coal and one gold miner, Lopez told reporters.

In December, the Philippines revoked the ECCs of three nickel mines and warned three more producers were at risk of losing theirs, as the government intensifies a crackdown on the mining sector.
