United flight reported to have caught fire lands safely in San Francisco

(Reuters) - A United Airlines flight reported to have flown to San Francisco International Airport on Monday after one of its four engines caught fire has landed safely at the airport, a live television broadcast of the plane's arrival showed on Monday.

No further details were immediately available, and United's parent company, United Continental Holdings Inc, did not immediately return a request from Reuters for comment.
