(Reuters) - Julia, the 10th named storm of the 2016 Atlantic hurricane season, is expected to weaken to a tropical depression by late Wednesday, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in its latest advisory.

Rains from Julia continue to spread onshore along the northeastern Florida and Georgia coasts, the weather forecaster said.

Storm Julia is located about 50 miles (85 kms) south-southwest of Brunswick, Georgia, with maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour (65 km per hour), the Miami-based NHC said.
