CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A former Charleston, West Virginia, police officer, who resigned after allegedly making racially insensitive videos, has now been charged with violating a domestic violence protective order.

The Charleston Gazette-Mail (http://bit.ly/2atL5aw ) reports that court records show Shawn Williams is charged with three counts of violating the order.

Williams turned himself in to police Monday.

Documents show he's accused of going to his ex-wife's house Sunday, despite a court order barring him from being around her and their two children.

Williams was placed on administrative leave by the city's police department in September 2014 after videos surfaced that allegedly showed Williams' daughter dressed in portions of a police uniform while dancing to a song of the Ku Klux Klan. He resigned in January 2015.

It's unclear if Williams has an attorney.
