CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Police Department says it's reviewing a Facebook post made by a black officer that said white officers "are looking for a reason to kill a black man."
The post apparently was made earlier this month after black men were killed by police in Louisiana and Minnesota and has since been deleted. It said black people encountered by white officers should make sure they're in a public place and comply with all demands because "they are looking for a reason to kill a black man."
Chief Eliot Issac says the post is being reviewed in relation to the department's social media policies and its rules and regulations.
Messages seeking comment were left Friday at Cincinnati's police unions — the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police and the Sentinel Police Association.
