MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Four men have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl who was under the influence of ecstasy and marijuana at a halfway house for sex offenders.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Department, three of the men are registered sex offenders and live at the halfway house. Sheriff's detectives executed a search warrant at the house on Tuesday. The fourth man doesn't live in the house but was part of the county's bail monitoring program.

Department spokeswoman Elise Schaffer says the sexual assault took place overnight July 7 into July 8 in the town of Blooming Grove, just east of Madison.

According to a detective's affidavit to obtain the search warrant, the girl told police she had been driving around with the men in Madison on July 7 and they gave her ecstasy. They then took her to the halfway house and led her into a bedroom where she was given marijuana.

The men then took turns sexually assaulting her, she said. She was feeling the effects of the ecstasy and it was hard to resist, she said, but she did say at one point she asked them to stop and they kept going.

The girl said three of the men were wearing GPS monitoring bracelets. Detectives traced the bracelets' coordinates to the halfway house, which matched the girl's description of the house where she said the assault took place.

The sheriff's department said all four men have been arrested on suspicion of second degree sexual assault of an intoxicated victim. They are being held in the Dane County Jail.
