WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Authorities in North Carolina are probing why officers arrested a protester who was assaulted at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's rally on Wednesday but not the man who hit him in the face, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's office told the newspaper it was investigating the matter after a video of the incident emerged.
