CAIRO (Reuters) - An explosion killed three people on Thursday near a road that leads to the site of the ancient Egyptian pyramids in the Cairo suburb of Giza, security sources said.
There were no immediate details on the identities of the dead.
Islamist militants have stepped up attacks on Egyptian soldiers and police since the army toppled president Mohammed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2013 after mass protests against his rule. Civilians have also been killed.
