(Reuters) - Two people were killed and two others were missing late on Monday following an explosion at a home in northeast Ohio, local authorities said.
The bodies of a woman and a young girl were found on the first floor of the home in Northfield, about 20 miles south of Cleveland, Northfield Center Fire Chief Frank Risko said. The two people still missing were believed to be a man and another child, he told reporters outside the home.
An official with the Summit County Sheriff's Office said the cause of the explosion was under investigation and gave no further details.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
Dominion East Ohio Gas crews were at the scene, local radio broadcaster WTAM reported.
