MEREDITH, N.H. (AP) — Republican Jeb Bush actually has some nice things to say about Donald Trump, but stands by his comment that the billionaire GOP presidential front-runner is a "jerk."
Bush tells New Hampshire voters that Trump is rightly proud of his financial success, and that he's "loosened things up a little bit."
Voter Tom Emanuel asked Bush why he called Trump a "jerk" during a town hall meeting on December 19.
Bush noted Trump's mocking of a reporter with a disability and said when anybody disparages people with disabilities, "It sets me off. That's why I called him a jerk."
Bush added Trump has disparaged women, Muslims and Hispanics, and said, "We're getting down to about 90 percent of all people here."
