(Reuters) - Chicago police were investigating unattended luggage at O'Hare International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

"The investigation is ongoing," said Chicago Police Sergeant Bob Kane, who could provide no other details. The item was at Terminal 3, which is used by American Airlines.

The terminal has not been evacuated, said Karen Pride, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Department of Aviation.
