WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Croatia later this month for a meeting of southeast European leaders.
The White House says Biden will be in Zagreb on Nov. 25 for a summit bringing together leaders from the area to discuss European integration and other regional issues.
The presidents of Croatia and Slovenia will host the meeting.
The summit comes amid ongoing tensions in the region over an influx of hundreds of thousands of migrants flooding into Europe. Slovenia has started building a razor-wire border fence to keep migrants at bay, raising tensions with neighboring Croatia.
