NEW YORK (Reuters) - A nephew of Venezuela's first lady has been arrested and brought to the United States to face drug trafficking charges, a person familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.
Franqui Francisco Flores-de Freitas, a nephew of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's wife, Cilia Flores, was flown into New York on Tuesday along with another individual, Efrain Antonio Campo-Flores, the person said.
No charging documents were immediately available on Wednesday. A spokeswoman for Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara declined comment.
