Magnitude 6.2 quake hits Alaska's Aleutian Islands: USGS

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A magnitude 6.2 earthquake hit near Alaska's Atka Island, part of the state's chain of Aleutian Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey reported on Monday.

The USGS said the quake occurred about 58 miles (93 kilometers) southeast of Atka.
