N'DJAMENA (Reuters) - Suspected Boko Haram militants struck two villages on Sunday in the Lake Chad area, killing at least two soldiers and injuring 11 citizens, Chad's government and military sources said.

Three would-be suicide bombers were shot by soldiers as they approached a military base in Bamou, although one militant was still able to detonate an explosive device, the statement said.

Militants also struck another army post at dawn in Kaiga Kinguirya in the same region.
