(Reuters) - New Mexico's Republican secretary of state has resigned amid fraud charges, according to media reports on Friday citing the governor's spokesman.

In August, New Mexico's Democratic attorney general filed a 64-count criminal case accusing Dianna Duran of embezzlement, money-laundering, campaign finance violations and other offenses.
