DOVER, Del. (AP) — Legislative Hall, Delaware's capitol, has been evacuated because of a fire.
Firefighters from several jurisdictions arrived at the building Wednesday afternoon. Smoke was seen coming from the second or third floors. No injuries were been reported.
No flames can be seen from the outside of the building. More than a dozen fire trucks are on scene, about an hour after the fire call was first made.
Lawmakers are not in session.
Legislative Hall is a Georgian Revival colonial structure of handmade brick, according to the state's website. It was built in the 1930s and two wings were added in 1994.
