U.S. sends Guantanamo Bay detainee to Morocco: Pentagon

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States on Thursday said it had repatriated a Guantanamo Bay detainee to Morocco, marking the seventh confirmed detainee freed from the detention camp so far in 2015.

In a statement, the Pentagon said it released Younis Abdurrahman Chekkouri from the facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in coordination with the Moroccan government and that 115 detainees remain at the detention camp.
