(Reuters) - Baltimore officials have reached a tentative $6.4 million wrongful death settlement with the family of Freddie Gray, an unarmed black man who died in April from an injury sustained in police custody, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing two unnamed sources.

The settlement would need the approval of the city's Board of Estimates, the Post said.

A judge last week ordered individual trials for six Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Gray, a case that fed the U.S. debate on police treatment of minorities.
