(Reuters) - A low-pressure system located 1250 miles (2012 km) east of the southern Lesser Antilles has a 90 percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Monday.

If current trends continue, a tropical depression is

likely to form later today or tonight while the low moves westward at around 20 miles per hour (32 kmph), the Miami-based weather forecaster said.
