WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State John Kerry travels to the Mideast next week and then Asia, including a stop in Vietnam.
The top U.S. diplomat starts off in Cairo, for the U.S.-Egypt Strategic Dialogue on Sunday.
He then goes to Doha, Qatar, to meet with foreign ministers of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council, which includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
Kerry also travels to the Southeast Asian city state of Singapore, where he will deliver a speech on U.S. trade and investment.
He'll also go to Malaysia for annual security talks with Southeast Asia's regional bloc, before traveling to Hanoi on Aug. 6. There, he will mark the 20th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Vietnam.
