(Reuters) - A United Express flight to Washington, D.C., from Missouri was diverted on Thursday to the airport in Columbus, Ohio, after the pilots said they had a disruptive passenger making threatening statements, officials said.

The jet landed without incident and was parked isolated on the ramp at Port Columbus International Airport with police responding and the airport fire department standing by as a precaution, airport spokesman David Whitaker said.
