New York prison superintendent, deputy on leave after inmate escape: CNN

(Reuters) - The superintendent and deputy superintendent of the Clinton Correctional Facility in northern New York state have been put on administrative leave after two inmates escaped, setting off a three-week manhunt, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing a state official.

Escaped prisoner David Sweat was wounded by police and taken into custody on Sunday. Fellow escapee Richard Matt was shot and killed on Friday.
