KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — An academic adviser who threatened to call campus police on a waiting student at a Georgia university been reassigned and won't be allowed to advise students until she completes a training program.
A Kennesaw State University student who was waiting for an adviser May 13 recorded Abby Dawson saying that waiting in the office was harassment and that she'd call campus security.
The student shared the video on social media and the university launched an investigation.
Officials said in a statement Friday that Dawson was put on administrative leave May 15, and is now reassigned.
KSU says officials have apologized to the student and the university wants to publicly apologize for Dawson's behavior.
An email to Dawson wasn't immediately returned and her phone number did not appear to be listed.
